I went to beautiful North East, PA this weekend for a wedding of two good friends. I have some great pics and a whole bunch of mediocre ones but going by the picture here it should be enough to pique your curiousity.

As i was going through my daily marketing reading i ran across a link to this site. Unfortunately i can’t permalink to the actual article in question so i’m posting it here:

Beer Church Did Not Do This

No. It wasn’t Beer Church. But in Houston someone recently covered up a billboard with a poster featuring a picture of Jesus Christ holding a Budweiser can. The company that leases the billboard believes vandals made the poster at home and then pasted it on top of the ad that’s supposed to be there. Local Houston-area Beer Church members who have seen the billboard report that it looks like it was professionally done.

so i have a wedding to attend in pirate country ( erie, pa) in a couple of weeks … figured a pink shirt would work but i need a tie to match..

any suggestions ?

Crazy week. I landed in Dallas last weekend to visit my sister and family at her house warming. As soon as i landed i got text messages regarding the result of the England vs. Portugal game, soon after i talked to a sobbing englishman who was heart broken. I love soccer football and was also sad that the English couldn’t pull it out (Germany losing on Wednesday, left me without a team i was rooting for) but i can’t imagine the distress of a country losing in the world cup. The USA national teams losing in basketball or in the World Baseball Classic doesn’t quite compare and hardly registers a blip on the general American conscience. It is amazing the power of football in the world to bring nations and people together.
